Cottonwood Cove Resort and Marina is a one-hour drive north from Laughlin, Nevada and a little over an hour south of Las Vegas. The desert terrain that surrounds Cottonwood Cove lends to the uniqueness of this beautiful lake in the middle of the Nevada desert.

It was the early 1980’s, and I was at home with my family; my homework was done, the family was home, and TV night was here! We didn’t always gather around to watch the same shows, however, this night we always did. Mom and dad got dinner ready while us kids set up the plates, utensils, and napkins on all of our TV trays rather than the dinner table. Everybody was excited for tonight’s line up: The Dukes of Hazard, Webster, and then, the jewel of my parent’s eye, Dallas. This month we are shining our Property Spotlight on Parry Lodge in Kanab, Utah. Parry Lodge was founded in 1931 by the dynamic Parry trio Whit, Chaunce, and Gron and managed to create their own little Hollywood, giving a home away from home to a variety of stars including Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, and even Frank Sinatra. The history of Little Hollywood is still alive at well at Parry Lodge with many of their walls adorned with photos of stars that used to stay on a regular basis.
