Family Travel Bucket List for 2019

Looking to travel somewhere new this year with the family? No matter if you choose a tropical island or a desert escape, fun times will be had adventuring with the ones you care about most. Stuck on where to go? We have a few ideas for you.

Here are some of the best places to add to your 2019 family travel bucket list.

Bryce Canyon National Park

With towering hoodoos and tons of look-out points, Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah is one of our favorite parks to visit. Popular hikes for families include the Navajo Loop Trail and Queens Garden Trail, as well as many others.

Zion National Park

Another popular bucket list destination is Zion National Park in southern Utah. If you have older kids (teens or adults), we suggest hiking The Narrows or Angel’s Landing. Otherwise, these hikes are great for the younger ones!

Yellowstone National Park

From erupting geysers to wildlife tours, Yellowstone National Park is perfect for families of all ages. Kids are invited to join the junior ranger program to learn more about the natural wonders of the park as well as how to preserve it for future generations.

Grand Teton National Park

While Grand Teton National Park is beautiful in the summertime, it’s a spectacle to explore in the wintertime. Take a tour through the backcountry by snowmobile, or catch a ride in a snowcoach where you’ll stay warm and toasty!

Grand Canyon National Park

Notably one of the best national parks to visit with children, the Grand Canyon in Arizona is packed with fun activities and stunning sights. You can take a hike down into the canyon or step out onto the glass floor and look down 2,000 feet below.

Big Bend National Park

For a quiet escape to the great outdoors, go to Big Bend National Park. There, you’ll find numerous hiking trails as well as the opportunity to go horseback riding or take a float trip.

Badlands National Park

Does your family like dinosaurs? If you said yes, then your family will love Badlands National Park! There have been several fossil sightings in the area, and you could be the next one to find something big.

Lake Powell

Lake Powell is a major tourist vacation spot, with over 2 million visitors per year. One of our favorite family activities is renting a houseboat and spending a full week on the lake in the summer.
