Celebrating 40 Years at Mad River
40 years, 4 decades, 14,600 days... however you want to put it, the team at Mad River Boat Trips is 40 years strong and we're excited to be celebrating their anniversary with them. Established in the Summer of 1977, Mad River Boat Trips is located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, just a few miles from their launch point on the Snake River. After 40 years of scouting the amazing river as well as other areas around Jackson Hole, they have become an amazing cornerstone in the town.
Mary Bess currently serves as General Manager of Mad River Boat Trips, and works tirelessly to ensure that her business and, most of all, her team are taken care of before, during, and after the summer season. Within her role as General Manager, Mary Bess has managed to capture new and fresh attention for the Mad River Boat Trips company in Jackson Hole and even helped snag it a spot as one of the best rafting companies in the 2017 issue of Planet Jackson Hole magazine.
With her hard work to provide the best work environment for her team, Bess has also managed to cultivate a fun family environment that continues to bring her team members together for a smooth running summer. Even though they are a seasonally run business, they have team members that continue to come back, year after year, to support the team out on the river for the season. Over the course of the past few months, Mad River has been sharing some different throw back photos on their Instagram to show the amazing teams that they have had in the past.
When they're not busy celebrating their employees on Instagram, Mad River is also keeping with the adrenaline that surrounds their daily rafting tours and has fun with everything they do. This environment has helped to cultivate a family feel, not only among their team members, but also with the teams at Scenic Safaris and Signal Mountain Lodge as well. There are a few team members such as our Smile Spotlight employee Lauren who works between Scenic Safaris and Mad River throughout the course of the year, keeping busy from her duties at Mad River even when summer is over.
We can't wait to see what is next for Mad River Boat Trips and are proud to have their operations as a part of our company.
