National Safe Boating Week

It’s finally May and that’s mean Safe Boating Week is just around the corner from May 20-26, 2017 and we want to help celebrate and educate for the occasion. Unfortunately, even with as much education as there is out there to prevent various boating accidents, there are still too many so we want to be sure to do our part to help your prepare for your summer boating vacation. We want to give you a quick break down on how you can best stay safe on the water.

Join the pledge to boat safely with the Wear It! Life Jacket Pledge and learn all you need to know from the North American Safe Boating Campaign to stay safe on the water. Life jackets are by far the most important aspect of any safe boating journey. Since their creation, life jackets have evolved to fit everyone in your family, including dogs, and have been made for a variety of boating activities such as paddleboarding, power boating, and even fishing. More important than wearing a life jacket while your speed or fishing boat in motion, is ensuring you've found the right size for all of the members of your family as well. Jackets shouldn't be loose or tight but fit snug to ensure they don't slip of in the event you've fallen in the water.

You can view the following inforgraphic below to learn more about finding the right life jacket for your boating adventure and visit the Wear It! website to learn more before heading out on the water this summer.
