Cottonwood Cove Resort & Marina
Tucked away on Lake Mohave, in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area lies one of our favorite houseboat getaway locations. Cottonwood Cove Resort and Marina is a one-hour drive north from Laughlin, Nevada and a little over an hour south of Las Vegas. The desert terrain that surrounds Cottonwood Cove lends to the uniqueness of this beautiful lake in the middle of the Nevada desert.
Lake Mohave is 67 miles long and is just a small stretch of the Colorado River and lies south of the Hoover Dam You can learn more about Cottonwood Cove Resort and Marina on their website at www.cottonwoodcove.com.
Additionally, the team from PBS’s Outdoor Nevada took to the waters on Lake Mohave recently to indulge in a fine dining houseboat experience. Our trusted Regional Vice President, Rod Taylor, took host John Burke onto one of our beautiful houseboats, just 15 miles or so north of Cottonwood Cove Marina. There, John took the opportunity to meet with famous chef, Mark Purdy for the Alize restaurant in Las Vegas and learned how to make a special lobster dish to complete a decadent meal out of the water. Find out how to make the dish for yourself in the video below.
