Parry Lodge: Relaxation in the Redrocks
This month we are shining our Property Spotlight on Parry Lodge in Kanab, Utah. Parry Lodge was founded in 1931 by the dynamic Parry trio Whit, Chaunce, and Gron and managed to create their own little Hollywood, giving a home away from home to a variety of stars including Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, and even Frank Sinatra. The history of Little Hollywood is still alive at well at Parry Lodge with many of their walls adorned with photos of stars that used to stay on a regular basis.
If you are visiting Utah, and are eager to get out and explore the great outdoors, Parry Lodge is the place to stay at because Kanab is within an hour of not one but five different National Parks Service (NPS) Monuments, Parks, and Recreation areas including Zion National Park, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Glen Canyon at Lake Powell, and the Grand Staircase (Escalante and Pipe Springs National Monuments) and many more.
This famous Redrock Country is filled with various hikes and scenic views that can keep you busy for an entire week in Southern Utah with each of these NPS areas being less than 2 hours away from Kanab and form a circle with Parry Lodge as the center point of each spot. Please feel free to speak to anyone at our front desk to see which area in the Redrock Country would be best to visit on your trip.
